FOTSUN reveals final line up and winner of Triple J Unearthed comp!

With just a little under 5 weeks until Festival of the Sun is upon us, organisers have unleashed the much anticipated final line-up announcement for FOTSUN 2009. With a line-up that has already been dubbed the best yet, the FOTSUN team is super excited to announce the last (but not least) acts, as well as the winner of Triple J’s ‘Unearthed’ competition Royal Chant, to be added to the already glowing bill.

So to put everyone out of their anticipatory misery, here are the final acts that will be making their way up to Port Macquarie this December with the rest of the smashing FOTSUN 09 troupe: Red Riders, Me, The Foreign Objects, Ashleigh Mannix, Geoff Turnbull, Nick & Liesl, Nathan Kaye plus the winner of our Triple J unearthed competition, local Port Macquarie band Royal Chant!

The stellar final line-up for Festival of the Sun 2009 is as follows : Spiderbait, Little Birdy, The Beautiful Girls, Children Collide, Urthboy, Pez, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Bob Log III, The Wilson Pickers, Red Riders, Grant Walmsley & The Agents Of Piece, Bonjah, Me, Red Ink, The Foreign Objects, Chris Pickering, Ashleigh Mannix, Geoff Turnbull, Eliza Ellen, Nick & Liesl, Nathan Kaye, Purple Sneakers DJ's and Royal Chant.

Festival of the Sun has made a name for itself in recent years as one of the most outstanding boutique festivals around, and this year is to be no different. Set amongst the backdrop of the beautiful Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park this December 11th & 12th, Festival of the Sun has become the ultimate summer festival experience combining sun, sand, surf and smashing sounds from some of Australia’s best home-grown talent.

There is some additional news for FOTSUN punters this year – moving forward, Festival of the Sun (which is still BYO!!) will be an 18’s+ event.

There are only 3,000 tickets available to Festival of the Sun this year (a number that is getting smaller and smaller everyday) so you’ll want to be quick to secure yourself a spot at this year’s festival. The limited capacity means that FOTSUN can maintain the relaxed vibe that has made the festival so unique and popular with the punters in previous years.

Festival of the Sun has been a sell-out for the past 3 years and is heading that way for 2009. Tickets are on sale now for $120 + bf (yes- that’s camping included!) through the website. Log onto www.fotsun.com.au
