Organisers of Summer Harvest have unfortunately been forced to cancel the inaugural event despite the best efforts and assistance of media, council and extensive community outreach. They have cited a lack of local support in terms of ticket sales as the reason.
 
While the Festival of the Sun this year changed to an over 18 event, organisers endeavoured to go above and beyond for their all ages crowd and provide the region its own unique under 20s drug and alcohol free spectacular that was to be Summer Harvest.
 
“This was to become an annual event for Port Macquarie and we now begin working towards achieving this for next year,” said Scott Mesiti.
 
Sand Events would especially like to thank those who did buy tickets to Summer Harvest. They are now guaranteed a full refund of the purchase price as well as a free ticket to a future Festival of the Sun once they turn 18.
